Our Closing week was just perfect! We enjoyed Canoe races, cook-outs, flag-raising by the Officers, Serenades, Watershow and the Awards ceremony on Saturday. The Staff served breakfast in bed (Honor cabins for 4 weeks in a row) to Cabins 7, 1B and 11B and that is always a fun time. The Kickapoos won the placque this term ~ 8,267 to 8,035 (Schmitt read the wrong column and accidentally announced the wrong total, and by the time she realized it, everyone was gone but the Kicks still won). We are preparing for 125 girls from a church group who will be with us until Saturday morning. Fortunately, we have 9 counselors who stayed to help and we are thankful for that. Everyone misses our campers and it's just too quiet around here. Mulligan keeps going to the Infirmary and can't figure out where Nurse Liz and all her friends are. We leave Saturday for Cess's wedding so look for pictures here next week. Thanks for another wonderful summer. CAMP HONEY CREEK ROCKS! Send us your news and have a great school year.
