We had a very busy weekend on The Creek. Friday night we had Sub Deb Waterfront (ended with a tie) and the girls seemed so happy to be in the Creek. Saturday evening we had a giant cook-out on the Waterfront and the girls had fun playing games and running around. Sunday we had Jr Deb Waterfront (Kicks won) followed by our infamous Carnival. I wish you could see these girls dancing and just having crazy fun without pressure – it’s a fun time for the entire camp – counselors, staff and campers alike. Today we let the girls sleep late and now we are having Water Day. This is a great break in the routine and everyone is wet and cool. I wish you could hear the little ones playing in the sprinklers and on the slip and slide. Good times! You will see a picture of a new tree being planted this morning – the old tree by the flagpole was broken in the storm last week so we replaced it with a beautiful 150 gallon Chinkapin Oak. Sometimes a storm is a good thing! We will end the day with a movie under the stars (I hope – it seems like every movie night is cut short with a storm and we do have a chance for rain later today).
