Here I am late again. Some days are just like this! Let me tell you all the news from our weekend ~ get ready! Unfortunately we had a stomach virus making the rounds starting Thursday night. Let’s just say it was more than our Infirmary could handle. The Infirmary was full, we took kids to Nicia’s house and used Cabin 8B as another refuge. Thanks to our Infirmary crew and the greatest Staff in the world, we can happily say it’s over. If you get a letter about the whole camp being sick, that’s not really the case, but we did have a bunch. We had to postpone Tribe Shows until next Saturday to give the girls more time. Sunday (was that just yesterday?) we had flag-raising and church, free swim and then a GIANT hail storm. It was loud and crazy. We were supposed to have the Carnival on the field and had to make some adjustments and we served the campers pizza in the Dining Hall then the storm passed and we were able to dance on the field for the end of Carnival. Today we had a sleep-in, Water Day and Jr Deb Waterfront this afternoon and a movie tonight. You know in camping you must always have a Plan B ~ I think at this point we are on Plan G! Tomorrow we will have our last Rock Star and hoping things settle down. I am not kidding when I say our staff and nurses rocked this crisis ~ so proud of our team. Making memories for sure. I don’t have as many pictures as usual because of the schedule change, but will work hard for more Wednesday.
